Happy holidays!

I realize I am late wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, but I’m here to wish you all a Happy New Year! 2008 passed by so quickly, it’s sad to see it go…but 2009 will bring us so much happiness - I could see it already! I have many projects in the works for 2009 and already booking many weddings

Also wanted to let you all know that I will be away until January 3rd, however I will still be checking my emails when I get a chance.

Oh, and please don’t forget that I am still looking for a couple who are having a spring or early summer wedding. I am working on a project which I will be incorporating in one of my wedding packages later in the year. I will be working at no charge as well as providing you with goodies so if you are getting married or you know someone who is, contact me for more details!!!!

Random findings :: Eleven

I know I have been slacking when it comes to my Weekly Findings…they really haven’t been an ‘every week’ type of thing, but I’ve been so busy with the launch of the new site as well as getting orders ready before Christmas.

Anyway, enough with the excuses…I thought I would start something new with my Weekly Findings. First off, I’m changing the name to ’Random findings’…since I might not always be able to make it a weekly thing. Second, since I stumble upon so many things that catch my eye and inspire me when I surf the net, I figured I would share them with you. So I’ll post the links of some fun stuff that you might want to check out if you have nothing else to do. Oh, and I’ll still provide a picture with each post

‘Tis the season for giving!

Ok so Christmas is creeping up quite fast, I don’t even remember seeing November pass by…seriously.

Since Christmas is the time of giving, I thought I would be generous and give out 2 exciting offers…but there’s a catch! Ha! (When is there not?) Ok here they are:

1st - I am in need of a couple who recently got married and who are willing to shoot a session with me in their wedding attire outdoors this Winter. We would choose a mild enough day so you don’t freeze your butt off and the location will be chosen by me. I need a girl with a beautiful gown and her man in his suit or tux. You can’t be afraid to go out there and strut your stuff since these photos will be used for my site and other various reasons. For your time, I will provide you with a cd of your best edited images! Please provide me with a picture of the both of you, as well as your gown, etc. Send your pictures off to info@melissannphotography.com . Please do not feel offended if you are not chosen as I am looking for a specific look. Thank you **Update** Couple has been chosen, thanks Erika and Bruce! See you soon!

2nd - I am working on a project for the summer and hopefully going to incoorperate it into my wedding packages later if it works out. I won’t reveal what it is exacly, but I am in need of a couple who are getting married in the Spring time and who do not have or want a videographer. Again, send me a picture of the two of you to info@melissannphotography.com as I am looking for a very specific look and more information will be given to you once you are chosen! (It’s really neat stuff - I promise!)

Ok so totally off subject, I am busy with my wedding book samples and product preperation this month which is why I have been MIA lately. You’ll hear from me a little more once I get those things settled!

The long awaited debut!

I am very excited to finally announce my OFFICAL WEBSITE! Phewf! The past 2 months have been so hectic with sessions, I could hardly find the time to work on other things that needed to be done! But, I’m back on track and getting ready for the New Year.

Check it out and give me some love! All pricing info as well as policies and such are on there. But, my Blog is still where it’s all happenin’ as far as recent sessions and current news goes.

Kristin & Jim :: Couple

These two people are very close to my heart because Kristin is a long time friend of mine. We spent our summers together at the cottage and we had sleep overs every other weekend of the year since I was an only child (thanks Mom for always taking care of one extra kid to cure my boredom). Kristin is like a sister to me.

I met Jim a couple years ago and decided to bring Kristin along to the next party we were all supposed to attend. As soon as I introduced them, sparks flew and I could see that they were destined to be together! Months passed by, and Jim was always curious as to how that cute, bubbly girl was doing. So, I made sure to invite her to the next party and well you could figure out the rest! Let’s just say they can’t take their hands off eachother anymore. I couldn’t be happier for them, they are a perfect match!

I had the pleasure to shoot Kristin and Jim a couple weekends ago but was it ever cold! They were troopers and it was worth it because we got some great pictures out of it!

Oh, and thanks Chris for the hot chocolates
